E- Fest- Engineered Fun For The Whole Family- FREE

Do you want to use your imagination and creativity to solve problems? If so, E- Fest is the perfect place to be this Saturday!

The 16th annual E-Fest is taking place at the Vancouver Public Library on Saturday, March 3rd, 2012 from 10 am to 4 pm. E-Fest is an exciting one-day event hosted by the Vancouver Branch of the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of BC (APEGBC) and the Vancouver Public Library, and takes place during National Engineering and Geoscience Month. FREE

The main goal of E-Fest is to extend the public knowledge and appreciation of the engineering and geoscience profession. Various engineering and geosciences related companies, organizations, and student teams showcase their work during this exciting day. This is a great opportunity for everyone in our community to see first-hand how the many facets of engineering and geoscience affect our everyday lives.

E-Fest is held in the Vancouver Public Library promenade. The indoor promenade is a very popular community-gathering place. Each year several thousand people pass through and visit the many booths, demonstrations, exhibits and student projects.

Engineers and geoscientists use their technical expertise, ingenuity, and vision to create solutions and improve the world we live in. Although we do not always think about it, engineering and geoscience are all around us!

We count on the roads and highways we use every day to get us where we need to go.
We can communicate with each other no matter where we are thanks to the satellites in our sky.
The natural resources we depend on, like water, petroleum, and minerals, are readily available
We enjoy the thrill of a rollercoaster while knowing we are safe!
